HOLY DEATH "Abraxas" [tape]

Yet another "oldie". Before you, is the second demo from one of the oldest Black Metal bands from Poland. This material has been released by Baron 

Rec (in the 90's this label wasn't generally tolerated by the orthodox part of the Polish Black Metal scene) in 1994 on professional tape [pro-tape]. The material is unique in its own way, as well as endearing. Personally I really like coming back to it. You can find here a decent dose of bloody hell. As for those times, which were the beginning of the 90's, "Abraxas" is a very extensive and interesting material. The music is clever, has its concept, and is played by skilful musicians. The re-release of this album was released under a different title, "Apocalyptic War", but more on that in a different post.

EVILFEAST "Funeral Sorcery" [tape]

We had some of the old stuff, now it's time for something new. We're introducing Evilfeast, a one-man project of Grimspirit.
The presented material is his second full length album and it should be noted that it is a worthy continuation of his debut release. As it is the custom of EVILFEAST, the album is steeped in misanthropic climate, straight from the darkest corners of forgotten cemeteries.
The cassette was neatly issued by Funeral Sound Prod, that is by Grimspirit himself. The FSP edition is limited to 300 pieces. Music was registered in between February and May 2005 in the Funeral Sound Studio. Three years later the album lived to see a re-release on CD, by Stenar Alles, but more on that later.

GRAVELAND "Necromanteion" [tape]

This is Graveland's first demo. The band is very well known, meritorious for polish scene and, what is also important, still active. The cassette was released by Rob, band's member, at the band's own expense in 1992. Number of copies in which it was spread is rather unknown. What is known, is that the oryginal copies had a Darken's stamp on the insert. The cassette in it's first edition (on the picture) is very hard to get.

SACRILEGIUM "Sleeptime" [tape]

The first demo from this one of the oldest hordes of polish Black Metal Scene. The cassette was released by meritorious Pagan Rec. in 1994. With this material Sacrilegium begins its quite bumpy ride on BM scene; music contained there can be clearly associated with what was played in Norway at the same time. "Sleeptime" is full of great atmosphere and that part of Sacrilegium's achievements gains them a dedicated group of fans in the future. This Material was recorded in no longer existing Warrior Studio, which was also the place where Behemoth recorded their first materials. "Sleeptime" was re-released just a year after, in 1995, this time on CD by Wild Rags.

HORDES OF THE BLACK CIRCLE [CD-R]

Split released in 2003 on a black CD-R with STOH Productions sticker (STOH 666/2) - Nocturnal frontman's label. It's a compilation of old demos / rehs and promo tapes from the mid '90s. All the materials was originally released by musician themselves. All the bands come from Gliwice.

First band we can hear on this split is "Nocturnal" with his demo / reh "Witchcraft". The material was recorded in 1996 and distributed by the band in 1996.

The third band is "Pagan Woods" - Nebiros's project. It's a demo / reh "Wilcze Cienie" from 1996 (although on the split it is titled "Pamięć Słowiańskiego Lasu").

MY INFINITE KINGDOM "Ecstasies Over Dreaming Lady" [tape]

It's the only material of these four musicians from Toruń, but what a material it is! "Ecstasies Over Dreaming Lady" was recorded in 1994 in cult WARRIOR studio. A year later it is being released on CD (No Colours Rec.). The edition we present above is a tape release by Majestat Nocy Promotion (WILK 16). It's a half proffessional edition, it has an professionally printed insert and the cassette has a sticker on it.
Limit unknown.

GONTYNA KRY "Welowie" [tape]

Here we have the third demo of one of the oldest and the most respected bands in polish underground. This demo was published on tape by Moonshine Prod and Nocturnal Silence. One year later it is being released on CD-R, and shortly after that on a pressed CD thanks to Old Legend Prod.

"Welowie" was quite a success, it gained a large group of fans and affected the rise in Gontyna Kry popularity. The band is active to this day.

Rehersal from december 1994 at the beginning released probably by the band itself, re-released in 2000 by Majestat Nocy Promotion (WILK 09). As far as I know, this reh was distributed only by the band, and the material's first official publishing was by MN Promotion. From what I know there was never a version with a printed cover, only with a photocopied one.

Released on tape only in '95 by "Ragnarok Records" (RAN 001).
In the beginning the band was called "Triglav" (formed in 1992) but after publishing of their first demo in 1994 the band changed name to "Forest". Material recorded under new designation was treated by the band itself as 'Promo-reh', and at the booklet's back they have put an information about a debute demo is going to be released...  oh well. Unfortunatelly nothing such took place.

Above you can see everything that appeared under a name ABS CONDITUS, both first tape "Reh 94" (published by artist's own expense with 2 versions of photocopied covers) and a full length professionaly recorded material "Noc Długich Noży" from 1995 (released by Dead Christ Commune).

ABS CONDITUS is a solo project created by Obscenus, who commited suicide in 2008.

Apart from the described project, he also took part in PERUNWIT, a band from Poznań, which he co-created with Aro/Wilczan. With PERUNWIT he records "Łzy i krew" ('94) and "W Kręgu Dębów" ('95). Cooperation ends during the works upon "Perkuna Yra Dang" album, which consists of his guitar parts.

This time we introduce two HÖDUR materials. The first demo titled "Thy Majesty" (there are two different cover versions available) was published by the band itself in 1995; the second demo was a full lenght material and it is called "Salve Satanas" - released in 1997 by Dagdy Music.

Both albums were at first published on tapes, "Salve Satanas" has been re-released in 2010 on vinyl in 500 copies (with different artwork and the title spelled "Salve Sathanas") by Strigoi Rec.
